The Council own and maintain one defibrillator in the Thoroughfare car park on the wall of the disabled toilet.
In the event of an emergency, dial 999 and the call handler will give you the code to access the defbrillator. Please bear in mind that sometimes 999 calls are answered by other ambulance services who may not know Halesworth, so please give clear instructions as to where you are.
The machine will give you step by step instructions on how to use it and will check a patient before any shocks are administered.
If you use the defbrillator, please return it to the cabinet after use or drop into the Council offices on London Rd. We will receive a notification to say the defibrillator has been accessed and can then change the pads as necessary.
